The following is a collection of my latest and most meaningful work experiences. Each opportunity I was able to take advantage of was a distinct moment in my career. I invite you to contact me with any questions.

Bailey Sarian, LLC.

Bailey Sarian is a hit Youtuber with nearly 3 million subscribers. The videos that got her on the map are her "Murder, Mystery, and Makeup Monday" videos where she does her makeup and tells a true crime story at the same time. For Bailey, I help her find stories and I completely take over requesting FOIA information, sifting through news articles, compiling evidence, and writing the first draft of the script, all from my living room!

The Hive

At the Hive I worked on the true-crime documentary show Snapped in its 27th-29th seasons.

  • I used my organization skills to tackle extensive research on cases, organize and obtain releases, tracking and preparing VO sessions, archive searches, created and completed tracking documents, matched scripts, fact-checked scripts with footnotes, quality controlling episodes, addressed net notes, and deliverables all finished with airdates less than a month after our final episode is due.

  •  I worked alongside four other Associate Producers and take on every fourth episode as my own working under a producer and executive producer.

Discovery, Inc.

As a Discovery intern I worked within the Digital Studios department working in the production process.

  • I worked closely with the producer on set for multiple short form shoots for "I Want That," an HGTV commerce series for Facebook, Instagram and Site.

  • I also was hands on in the pre-production and post-production process working on organizing information into excel and word documents

  • managing projects

  • and gathering statistics once a video is posted as well as many other things.

Beyond Media, LLC.

The summer of 2019 I was able to travel with Beyond Media to Charleston and Nashville while working on season 3 of Man's Greatest Food with host Roger Mooking.

  • Prior to shoot I worked closely with the producer finding restaurants and dishes to feature on the show to either repack or shoot new.

  • One in particular that stands out from the season was the cannoli cake because it was the one I found in research, traveled to shoot, and I was able to see it through all the way to my television screen.

  • After the show ended I worked in the post production process reviewing scripts and continuing to assist the producer.

VFL Films

At VFL Films I had the opportunity to train in almost every position there is for a live production including

  • camera operator

  • grip

  • graphics op. and bug op.

  • stage manager

  • and I found my niche as an associate director.

I gravitated towards this role early on when I began in 2016 because it was the closest I could get to producer as a student. I have been able to work with many influential people in the business including Peyton Manning, Laura Rutledge, Mike Keith, and Charles Davis as well as a personal favorite: Colton Underwood, a former Bachelor.

ESPNU Campus Connection

During my Campus Connection experience I was able to learn from best in the business on a truck for a Tennessee Football game. Throughout the day I had the opportunity to train, shadow, and network while absorbing the fast paced environment of producing a football game!

Let me first say that it has been an absolute delight to work with Courtney during her internship. The “normal” interns that we have worked with in the past tend to show up, brag about what they already know, fumble through the assigned task, and clock out at first opportunity. Courtney did the opposite. She proved to be an eager learner that appreciated the opportunity. She was humble and dedicated, persistent and motivated. She stayed to complete her projects, regardless of a time clock. We feel that she handled more than most new hires, so we put more on her. She excelled every time. Her communication skills were top notch as well. She communicated directly with clients, crew, location, talent, and patrons. conducting interviews, planning production, and assisting in post-production with our editors and producers. Every person that she worked with had (and still has) nothing but high praise.  I have no doubt that Courtney will be a rockstar at whatever path she chooses.

Brantley Ferrell: Producer, Beyond Media, LLC.

I have had the pleasure of working with Courtney at VFL Films for four years. She comes in each day with a smile on her face, ready to conquer whatever task is in front of her. Courtney is one of the most organized people that I know and an extreme multitasker! I never have to worry about something getting done when I put it in her hands. Courtney has diversified her skill set while working at VFL Films and we have been able to use her in multiple positions for live broadcasts. She really asserted herself as an associate director, working her way up the ladder and now trains all new associate directors in our organization. Courtney has demonstrated excellent organization, communication and leadership skills throughout her time here and we have been fortunate to have someone as dedicated as her. It is always a joy to be around her infectious personality!
